Although many drivers out there continue to transport RV’s during the winter months on snowy & icy roads, I prefer to wait until more favourable weather. Recently I had to pickup a trailer from the owners property to return to a local dealer and due to a heavy snowfall on the scheduled pickup date, we decided to postpone a few days to allow the roads to clear up. Even with good tires all around, pulling 8k to 10k of extra weight pushing from behind when decending hills can make for interesting times in the mountains. My opinion is it is best suited for dry or just wet roads.
Another thing that is somewhat inconvenient is just how dirty everything ends up. Short of a gas station, the car wash will be the next most visited place these days.
